It was announced in June 2019 that Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo would lead the first national tour of First Date, planned to launch in fall 2020. He played Joseph on the U.S. tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat from January 2014 to April 2015.[1]

Before the show
- October 17, 2000After high school he wrote Reason I Live, which was on the soundtrack of the 2000 film The Little Vampire. New Line Records released the soundtrack on October 17, 2000.[1]

- 2006He spent the summer of 2006 on the American Idol Top 10 tour, then released the single Scattered, which reached the Top 50 of the Hot Adult Contemporary sales chart.[1]
After the show
- July 15, 2008He released the self-titled album Ace Young on July 15, 2008, on Pazzo Music/Fontana, after working with Desmond Child on a self-funded record. It peaked at number 160 on the Billboard 200.[1][6]
- December 2009–February 14, 2010He joined the national tour of Grease in December 2009 as Danny Zuko and left the tour on February 14, 2010.[1]
- May 2012He released the single I Wanna Fall in Love Again on iTunes in May 2012. From 2012 his label was Mailboat, which partnered with Young Brothers Entertainment for digital releases.[1]
- January 2014–April 2015He starred as Joseph on the U.S. national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with Diana DeGarmo as the Narrator, from January 2014 to April 2015.[1]
