Charles Grigsby releases music independently. After about nine years without singing because of vocal problems, he released the Christian R&B album Hindsight in December 2020 and the single "Christmas Once Again" in December 2022. His website says he is recording a Christmas album.[1][2][3][4]

- April 29, 2003Sang "Overjoyed" on the RCA compilation American Idol Season 2: All-Time Classic American Love Songs.[7]
- July 8, 2003–August 31, 2003Performed on the American Idols Live! Tour 2003, taking the place of Corey Clark, who was barred from the tour; his solo was Stevie Wonder's "Do I Do".[1][8]
- 2005Was signed by Ziggy Gonzalez, founder of Cityboyz Music Ltd, after a release party in New York.[3]
- July 2005Released a six-track self-titled EP.[1][3]
- 2008Joined the group Croonerz, which played Top 40 songs in venues across northeast Ohio.Croonerz[3]

- 2011After releasing the single Headliner in September 2011, stopped singing to rest his voice because of a vocal cord problem; his publicist says he lost his singing voice for nine years.[2][3]
- September 1, 2011Released the download single "Headliner", which he had first performed live on Fox 8 News in Cleveland in August 2011.[1][3]
- December 31, 2020Released Hindsight, a Christian contemporary R&B album recorded in a home studio during the COVID-19 pandemic.[1][2][3]
