In 2024 Chris Sligh released the country EPs Antiques & Spanish Moss on April 19 and White Picket Fences on May 17, both copyrighted by KindacrazyMusic. His site says he returned to co-writing at the end of August 2019, and a December 2023 account said he was focused more on songwriting than on performing.[1][2][3]
Career
Before the show
- 1999–August 2019He wrote about 2,500 songs from 1999 to 2013 and about 15 from 2013 to 2019, and started co-writing again at the end of August 2019. Between 2008 and 2011 he had six top-20 Billboard songs that he wrote.[2]
After the show
- November 2007In November 2007 he stated that he had signed a solo deal with Brash Music, an Atlanta-based independent label.[3]
- 2008–December 22, 2008Through 2008 he played more than 115 shows. In August and September he headlined the Back to School Tour in 32 cities. From December 1 through December 22 he toured with NewSong in 18 cities.[3]
- February 22, 2008Empty Me was added to radio playlists on February 22, 2008, and reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.[3]
- May 6, 2008Brash Music released Running Back to You on May 6, 2008. It debuted at number 190 on the Billboard 200 and reached number 190 on the Top Heatseekers chart.[1][3]
- April 2009He co-wrote Here Comes Goodbye with Clint Lagerberg, and Rascal Flatts released it. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country chart in April 2009, after 12 weeks on the chart. By April 13, 2009, it had moved from sixth to first on the Billboard/R&R and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts.[3][7]
- May 2009In May 2009 he announced that he had parted ways with Brash Music and was negotiating with a major label. The announcement date is the event. A later Brash copyright is noted separately.[3]
- September 14, 2010The Anatomy of Broken was released on Word Records on September 14, 2010. It peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.[1][3]
- 2011In 2011 he left Warner Brothers/Word Records and was hired as worship minister at Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, Colorado.[3]
- 2013In 2013 he became a worship minister and later creative director at Shoreline Church in Austin. There he built Shoreline Music, a songwriting and production division of the church, and he is featured on its album No Height, No Depth, which came out in 2015.[3]
- December 2016Mighty Roar / Healing Flood was released in December 2016. At the end of 2016 he left his job as executive creative director at Parkview Christian Church in Chicago.[3]
- April 19, 2024–May 17, 2024Apple lists two country EPs: Antiques & Spanish Moss on April 19, 2024 and White Picket Fences on May 17, 2024. Both are copyrighted by KindacrazyMusic.[1]
